Lake George Winter Carnival?

This year me and couple of my friends will be going to the lake George winter carnival for the first time. We plan on bringing up our ATV's which are both 2003 Honda 400ex's. These quads are both rear wheel drive. My question is with them being rear wheel drive will we have problems riding on the lake in the deep snow or is relatively packed down from all the snowmobiles and what not?
